Atlantic City Post-Sandy Recovery Planning Grants

City of Atlantic City, Atlantic County, NJ

The New Jersey Department of Community Affair’s Post-Sandy Recovery Planning Grant Program is entering its second and most critical year, and Atlantic City is at the forefront of municipalities and counties that have become involved in the program. By utilizing federal disaster relief funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, this program enables localities like Atlantic City to obtain planning services for recovery and resiliency from future storm events. Colliers Engineering & Design has been selected by Atlantic City to prepare all five of its Post Sandy Phase 2 Planning Assistance plans, as follows:

  • North Inlet Redevelopment Plan, conceptual design, and environmental design of parks and surrounding areas, including Gardner’s Basin Park Master Plan and green infrastructure recommendations
  • Chelsea Heights Neighborhood Plan conceptual design and design standards
  • Bader Field Redevelopment Plan including existing conditions analysis and master plan preparation
  • Back Bay Assessment and Mitigation Plan to include engineering analysis and land use analysis for bulkhead height
  • Master Plan Re-Examination
