Temple University Synthetic Turf Field Replacement

City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA

Responsible for all phases of design, including site survey, geotechnical study, complete project design, stormwater management design, permitting, construction bid documents, and construction administration for the replacement of the existing 106,000 SF Edberg Olson synthetic turf football practice facility at Temple University in Philadelphia. This project also includes an upgrade to the stormwater management system for the complex.

Maser Consulting professionals provided 3D hi-definition laser scanning and ground penetrating radar evaluation to obtain detailed 2D and 3D information related to existing conditions on-site, including the actual playing field; location of goal posts, field boxes for game, and play clocks; location of striping and logos; and other visible physical features. The project also incorporated green inlets and a rain garden to provide stormwater point credits for the University.
